As a Senior Hardware Engineer in R&D you will work across product development technical pre-studies and hardware maintenance. From defining requirements and exploring architectures to designing verifying and improving solutions you will see your work through the hardware development lifecycle.

Location: Gothenburg

What you will do

• Help turn system and product requirements into clear hardware specifications drawing on higher-level requirements directives and technical standards.

• Explore technical possibilities through pre-studies propose hardware architectures and select key components.

• Design and implement hardware solutions contributing as a hardware engineer and on some projects as hardware project manager.

• Plan and carry out hardware verification at functional-block product and system levels and document your findings in verification specifications and reports.

• Document design solutions review colleagues designs arrange reviews of your own work and participate in type-approval testing.

• Solve urgent issues and carry out planned maintenance on existing products.

• Share technical knowledge across teams and projects propose and supervise thesis work and help improve the laboratory environment.

• Communicate progress and deviations from specifications and plans keep pace with relevant technologies and continue developing your expertise.

• Act as the EX HW Appointed person for Mobility.

What you will bring

• A BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least five years of experience in a similar role.

• The ability to translate high-level requirements into requirements and design specifications and deliver high-quality electronic designs.

• An understanding of how design choices affect the wider system costs and the customer experience.

• The confidence to work independently and collaborate with colleagues and partners inside and outside the company.

• Fluent spoken English and Swedish and the ability to write clear technical documentation in English.

• General knowledge of the companys products and systems.
