Job Summary

Do you want to contribute to improving human health

As a biomedical systems developer you will work in Dr. Mikael Bensons research group for medical digital twins at the division for ear nose and throat diseases at the department of clinical science intervention and technology (CLINTEC). This involves responsibility for the development of computational methods for various aspects of high-resolution identification of disease mechanisms biomarkers and drug targets. We offer a dynamic environment at the forefront of research in these areas which promotes innovation and exploration in the field.

Your mission

In the role of biomedical systems developer you will work in a multidisciplinary project that aims to identify disease mechanisms biomarkers and drug targets for early diagnosis and prevention of cancer. Your tasks include being responsible for the development and application of machine learning and statistical methods regarding such mechanisms biomarkers and chemically evaluating drug targets in collaboration with Dr. Benson and compiling data for publication and addition you will collaborate with researchers in Sweden and internationally and participate in various project meetings within the framework of EU projects.

Your profile

Requirements

  • Masters or PhD in any form of computational science
  • Experience with single-cell analyses including spatial

As a person you are self-motivated and capable of taking initiative in your work. You work in a structured manner while being able to switch efficiently between different tasks. You focus on solutions rather than problems and can contribute to problem-solving and the development of work processes through creativity and innovative thinking. As our research environment is international and the project involves close collaboration with several other research groups and clinical partners excellent English skills both written and spoken are a requirement for the the assessment of applicants particular emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
