Intern Audit

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Audit team in conducting audit engagements and operational reviews
• Support the preparation of audit working papers reports and documentation
• Conduct process studies and process walkthroughs
• Assist in identifying process improvements and internal control weaknesses
• Assist in preparation of periodic reports and dashboards
• Assist in developing and implementing AI and Continuous Auditing (CA) initiatives
• Participate in data collection and analysis activities
• Follow up on audit findings and implementation of recommendations

Person Specifications

• Undergraduate or recent graduate in Accounting Finance Business Administration Management or a related field
• Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka ACCA CIMA or CMA
• Prior audit experience in a reputed audit firm or the mercantile sector will be considered an added advantage
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of internal control concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel Word and PowerPoint
• Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail
• Willingness to handle multiple tasks and work towards meeting deadlines
