SURVEY ENGINEER
Job Summary
Engineering Oil & Gas Company is looking for a SURVEY ENGINEER for project offshore located Worldwide
- Installation testing and operation of Survey and Positioning equipment including:
- GNSS and differential correction receivers
- Echo-sounders
- Gyrocompasses
- Motion Reference Units (MRU)
- Bathymetric systems
- Cross profilers
- Pipe and cable trackers
- USBL/LBL acoustic positioning systems
- Inertial Navigation Systems (INS)
- Doppler Velocity Logs (DVL)
- Digital video systems
- Peripherals (printers remote monitors etc.)
- GNSS and differential correction receivers
- Conducting regular maintenance of equipment.
- Offshore position working onboard vessels.
- Rotation schedule: 35/35.
- Working as part of an international team.
- Extensive worldwide travel required.
- Planning testing supervising installation and configuration of survey equipment.
- Planning operating and maintaining all survey and positioning equipment.
- Liaising with marine crew and third parties regarding deck operations equipment installation documentation and permits.
- Ensuring safe and efficient mobilisations and demobilisations of Survey and Positioning systems.
- Performing quality control analysis and interpretation of survey data.
- Reporting equipment failures accurately and promptly.
- Maintaining offshore equipment inventory and stock levels.
- Ensuring clear and accurate online survey logs are maintained.
- Conducting observations of seawater parameters.
- Providing technical support to Project Surveyors.
- Acting as Online Surveyor when required.
- Undertaking video eventing activities when required.
- Liaising with third-party providers of DGNSS signals Survey and Positioning systems and Survey software.
- Performing risk assessments and toolbox talks during daily operations.
- Conducting all activities in accordance with Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Adhering to Company safety health and environmental procedures and policies.
- A solid understanding of survey engineering
- Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject (or an appropriate military qualification)
- Fluent in English
- Minimum 23 years of relevant experience
- EIVA NaviPac and TMS
- Shallow water pipe-lay operations (S-Lay)
- Anchor barge operations

Required Skills:
Certificado de Competencia como Capitán hasta 500 GT (mínimo). Certificaciones STCW 2010 vigentes aplicables a remolcadores. Libreta de embarque en vigor. Buen dominio del Ingles y Español (oral y escrito). Sólidos conocimientos de terminología marítima. Residencia en la provincia de Barcelona.
