Staff Engineer Cloud Foundations

We are looking for a Staff Engineer Cloud Foundations to lead the technical direction of a multi-cloud foundation that enables every engineering team to build securely reliably and with clear cost visibility. What Youll Do

• Lead and apply deep expertise in multi-cloud architecture (AWS and GCP) to deliver durable scalable outcomes that support organizational growth.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in organization-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code to deliver durable scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in cloud networking and governance to deliver durable scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics to deliver durable scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in AI-assisted engineering with rigorous review to deliver durable scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in technical leadership without line authority to deliver durable scalable outcomes.
• Collaborate across engineering product and scientific teams to translate complex needs into practical solutions.
• Set a high bar for quality documentation and thoughtful use of AI-assisted engineering.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent by sharing cloud architecture knowledge and best practices across teams.
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards compliance frameworks and governance policies to protect organizational assets.
• Drive incident response protocols and reliability improvements to ensure high availability of cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on cloud design decisions to ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Qualifications :

• Demonstrable experience in multi-cloud architecture: AWS and GCP
• Demonstrable experience in organisation-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code
• Demonstrable experience in cloud networking and governance
• Demonstrable experience in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics
• Demonstrable experience in AI-assisted engineering with rigorous review
• Demonstrable experience in technical leadership without line authority
• Demonstrable experience in platform-as-product mindset
• Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management with hyperscalers
• Demonstrable experience in cloud security standards compliance frameworks and governance policy development
• Demonstrable experience in incident response protocols and reliability engineering
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on cloud design decisions
• Fluent English written and spoken
