Process Expert, ACES, Yard E2E Excellence
Job Summary
This is a role for someone who love solving complex operational problems with data and can influence change across teams without direct authority.
Key job responsibilities
- Process ownership: Map yard processes E2E identify and measure waste and design solutions that eliminate it driving toward automation and operational excellence.
- Problem solving: Define problems conduct root cause analysis (5-Why fishbone DMAIC) test and validate solutions and design scalable roll-out plans with robust control mechanisms.
- Benchmarking & standards: Create benchmark rates across yard process paths establish standard work conduct time studies and build audit processes to sustain gains.
- Financial modelling: Build clear financial models for improvement initiatives and collaborate with Finance to establish project-level reporting and ROI tracking.
- Stakeholder communication: Write business proposals tailored to diverse audiences adjusting depth and style to the audience. Proactively communicate project progress risks and network impact.
- Cross-functional partnership: Build strong partnerships with operations field leaders technology teams and other Amazon business units to identify opportunities share best practices and deploy initiatives on-site.
- Change management: Drive adoption of process changes across the network without direct reporting lines using data-driven approaches and scalable mechanisms to deliver within agreed timeframes.
About the team
The Yard E2E Excellence team sits within ACES and is part of STEP. We focus on making yard operations shunting cross-dock trailer management faster safer and more efficient across the European network. We combine data-driven problem solving with hands-on process expertise to set the standard for yard performance.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management engineering business management or other relevant field
- Experience in process improvement
- Knowledge of analytic tools
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Knowledge of general AI tools
