Pricing Data Scientist ES

We are InShared: an online insurer that does everything just a little differently. We started as a disruptor in the Dutch insurance world. Now we are on our way to expanding internationally. We use smart technology to make our insurance services simple fast and fair. Our goal is to build the best digital insurance product in the world.

Today we are a team of 350 people but soon we could be 500. To continue growing internationally we are looking for entrepreneurial and energetic people who want to keep shaking up the insurance industry with us. What do we need A Pricing Data Scientist who helps us to predict the likelihood and potential risk and costs of future claims as well as optimal conversion rates.

What will you do

As our Pricing Data Scientist youll be working closely together with talented colleagues on the newest technology. With the pricing & analytics team youll be dynamically adjusting our Spanish pricing models utilizing market data and performing conversion analysis to optimize profitability. This role requires meticulous data analysis and management aimed at identifying market trends detecting potential fraud and enhancing pricing accuracy through statistical modeling using both classical and AI methods.

You will develop alert systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams providing insightful reports on pricing strategies and work from our Spanish and Dutch office.

What will you bring

To develop effective models and data approaches that are competitive with other insurers you bring the following:

• 10 years hands-on experience as (pricing) actuaryin the Spanish P&C market with a focus on commercial pricing in car insurance (experience within a digital insurance model is a plus);

• A university degree in a relevant (mathematical) field;

• Exceptional quantitative logical and analytical abilities with a knack for solving complex problems;

• Solid understanding of actuarial and the latest data science (machine learning) & AI techniques;

• Proficiency in SQL R (or Python) foundational AI models and cloud computing;

• Familiarity with programming best practices such as version control using Git;

• Strong communicative skills;

• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset;

• Fluent in English spoken and written
