The Opportunity:

We are looking for aGlobalEngineeringManagerwithinthe Grid&PowerQualitySolutionsandService (GPQSS) Global Product Group (GPG)team that willbe responsiblefordelivering upon our commitments to our customersand this role you will be responsibletoensurealignment with GPQSS global standards processes tools and governancedriveinnovation and foster collaboration among diverse engineering teams.Togetherwith theEngineeringteamof the Global Product Group youare responsiblefordrivingconsistency in executional excellence when it comes tohealth & safetyqualityon-timedeliveryandbudgetin line withHitachi EnergyandGridIntegration business unit strategic direction and priorities.

In this role you will report to theGlobalOperations ManagerforGPQSS.

HowYoullMake an Impact:

  • You willbe responsible forthe projectengineering scopeand own the performance managementoftheGPQSSengineering deliverablesin close partnership and collaboration with our Hitachi Energy local counterparts and customers.

  • You will bethe Business Process Owner responsible forGPGGPQSSglobal engineering processes.

  • You willmentor and develop engineering leaders and team members fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • You will build andmaintainrelationships with key customers as well as internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will support and drive the BUs strategy globally within theGPQSScommunity.

  • You will coordinate the development and initiate implementation of the standards practices procedurestoolsand digitalization initiativesin collaboration withour GlobalEngineeringteamsand other functions withinGPQSS. You willinitiateand support theimplementationof said initiatives in theGPQSSteam to achieveengineeringefficiency caterorganizationalscale-up andcompetency developmentalong our growth journey.

  • You will define and lead the implementation of continuousimprovementsinitiatives across engineering processes and tools in alignment with Business Unit and Global Product Group strategies.

  • You will monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment.

  • You willparticipatein the budgeting process jointly withtheGlobal OperationsManager and Controller.

  • You willconducttheSalesand Operations Planning with other members of theGlobal Product Group teamandtakeactionsto close potential gaps inengineeringcapacity.

  • You willensurethat the area of responsibility is structured to fit the business model sufficiently staffed with skilledresourcesand directed appropriately.You guidemotivateand develop direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Oversee competency assessments and ensure that theengineeringstaff is licensed and certified appropriately.

Your background:

  • You hold aBachelors orMasters degree in Electrical Mechanical or Energy Engineering (or related field).

  • 15 years of engineering experience in the energy sector with 5 years in a global leadership role.

  • You are driven resultorientedand have a strong interest in leadership and developing your team as well as developing relations and collaboratingwith other stakeholders.

  • You are a strong communicator with ability to communicate beyond yourown organizational responsibilitiesand think strategically

  • You have experience in a multinational corporationandglobal engineering environment.

  • To successfully take on this position you havestrong knowledge of energy systems grid infrastructure renewable technologies and regulatory frameworksin the utility and/or industrial infrastructure project businesswith a strong understanding of engineering principles and a proventrack recordof delivering complex engineering projects across multiple geographies.

  • You have familiarity withglobalindustry standards such as IEC IEEE ISOANSIenvironmental compliance etc.
