CAD Technician (Drainage & Water Projects)
Job Summary
We are currently recruiting a Junior CAD Technician to be based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement incorporating a combination of both in-office and remote working schedules.
As a Junior CAD Technician you will join our expanding and experienced Hydraulics and Drainage team to work on a wide variety of projects including but not limited to drainage potable and wastewater networks and flood modelling. The team provides assessment concept feasibility preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering civil engineering designs for many years throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East.
You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects being part of a diverse and multicultural team. It can be a great opportunity for a CAD Technician that wants to boost his/her professional career on H&D drafting on an international environment with a great opportunity to learn new Digital software platforms.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Analyzes and adheres to the project CAD standards.
- Prepares finished design drawings from sketches notes and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D.
- Works in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e. ProjectWise Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Self-checks drawings for quality assurance following the QAQC procedure in force in the project.
- Works in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices.
- Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.
Qualifications :
- Certificated in a drafting technology Institute Technical or similar Professional Education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership.
- CAD software (preferable AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer) accreditation will be considered favorable.
- Fluent in English professional language (oral and written).
- Motivation and interest to keep growing in CAD focused position.
