Job Summary
YOUR MISSION
As a Junior Analytics Engineer in our AI & Data Enablement team you will be focused on building reliable data foundations and enabling the next generation of data products at Glovo.
This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to grow in Analytics Engineering while developing strong foundations in AI-enabled data work. This is not a pure AI Engineer role but we are looking for someone who is already AI-savvy and has practical experience using AI tools to improve their work. We expect the candidate to understand both the value and the limitations of AI-generated outputs.
As part of DataX you will help us make data more accessible reliable and useful for business teams while progressively contributing to initiatives involving AI-assisted workflows data quality documentation automation support and GenAI-enabled data experiences.
You will work closely with Data Analysts Product Managers Business stakeholders and other Data teams to understand problems build trusted data assets and support the responsible use of AI in data work.

Build High-Impact Data Models: Design reliable datasets and data models that power critical business decisions across global teams.
Master Modern Analytics & SQL: Write clean production-grade SQL transformations using industry best practices for version control testing and data quality.
Pioneer AI-Driven Engineering: Put your AI literacy to work on real-world Analytics Engineering initiatives leveraging prompt design context grounding and responsible AI practices.
Solve Real Business Problems: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to automate manual workflows remove friction and build smarter data products.
Fast-Track Your Growth: Work side-by-side with senior engineers in a supportive environment designed to help you rapidly evolve into an autonomous Analytics Engineer.
Qualifications :
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
12 Years of Data Experience: Background in Analytics/Data Engineering BI Math Computer Science or a related field with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Core Technical Toolkit: Solid SQL fundamentals (joins aggregations debugging) working knowledge of Python and basic Git practices.
Data Modeling & Modern Stack: Familiarity with core modeling concepts (facts dimensions granularity) and an eagerness to work with tools like BigQuery dbt and Looker.
AI-First Mindset: Above-average literacy using GenAI for coding analysis or workflow automation; paired with a strong commitment to validation and responsible usage.
Collaborator & Communicator: High attention to detail clear communication skills across technical and non-technical teams and fluent English.
Glovo Culture Fit: A hands-on proactive attitude with high energy adaptability and great team-player vibes.
NICE TO HAVE
Exposure to BigQuery dbt Looker or similar tools.
Experience using AI tools in more advanced ways such as prompt iteration code review support data exploration workflow automation or output evaluation.
Understanding of APIs data pipelines or workflow automation concepts.
Exposure to process improvement automation process intelligence or operational analytics use cases.
Previous professional internship academic or personal project related to data analytics or AI.
Interest in responsible AI data governance privacy and quality.

Over time you will grow towards owning small data products independently and contributing to AI-enabled data initiatives with increasing autonomy.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This is not a pure AI Engineer role.
This is an Analytics Engineer I role within Data Enablement with an expectation that the person will progressively develop AI competencies as part of the natural evolution of Analytics Engineering.
