Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented tech-savvy Technical Data & Power Quality Specialist to join our clients team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology data engineering and client support. Youll be responsible for managing the database analysing power quality data supporting clients with technical queries developing internal data tools and preparing technical commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and maintain the client database and underlying SQL environment.
  • Manage online client monitoring and query portals.
  • Assist with software updates system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical software support to clients.
  • Analyse and interpret electrical logging and power quality data.
  • Develop and improve SQL queries reporting templates and data-processing tools.
  • Build practical automation and reporting solutions using tools such as Excel/VBA Python or BI dashboards.
  • Turn complex data into clear useful information for clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed technical quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Develop proposals for power quality audits logging studies and engineering solutions.
  • Support solutions relating to power factor correction (PFC) dynamic VAR compensation surge protection and other power quality applications.
  • Evaluate power quality compliance and identify potential issues from monitoring data.
  • Compile professional technical reports.
  • Respond to client queries and provide practical technically sound solutions.
  • Work closely with the engineering and commercial teams to deliver solutions that meet client requirements.

Personal Attributes:

  • Technical Qualification (Diploma or in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering IT or a related technical discipline.)
  • Exposure to power systems electrical engineering or energy management will be advantageous.
  • Practical experience working with SQL databases including querying and basic database management.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • An interest in developing data-driven tools and automation using Excel/VBA Python Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of energy metering and power quality principles.
  • Knowledge of harmonics transients power factor voltage/current unbalance and related PQ parameters.
  • Experience with Elspec PQSCADA Sapphire will be advantageous but is not essential.
