Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
As the HSE Site Supervisor you will supervise and coordinate all health safety and environmental construction activities on site. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements client standards and project procedures while supporting contractors commissioning activities quality processes and stakeholder engagement. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile industrial and mining projects while promoting world-class safety performance.Education:
- Minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in Health Safety & Environment
- SACPCMP registration as HSE Manager (Compulsory)
- GWO Basic Safety Training
- Training in Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment Incident Investigation Legal Liability First Aid Level 3 and Fire Fighting
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or SAMTRAC advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 10 years relevant HSE experience within construction mining EPCM or renewable energy sectors
- Strong working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
- Experience with contractor HSE management and compliance monitoring
- Exposure to permit-to-work systems inspections audits and incident investigations
- Ability to prepare HSE reports risk assessments and safety documentation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Excellent leadership planning and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office / Office 365
- Valid drivers licence
