Site Manager

To manage and coordinate construction activities on site ensuring that projects are completed safely efficiently on programme and within budget while meeting required quality standards and contractual obligations.

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Coordinate employees subcontractors suppliers and plant.
• Ensure work is executed according to drawings specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor progress against the project programme and report delays.
• Allocate labour materials plant and other resources effectively.
• Assist with planning and programming of construction activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers Engineers Quantity Surveyors and consultants.
• Ensure site documentation and progress records are maintained.
• Work closely with Health & Safety personnel to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Monitor workmanship materials and quality standards.
• Address defects and non-conformances.
• Supervise site employees and contractors and monitor productivity.
• Monitor material and plant usage and minimise wastage.
• Escalate operational safety quality and employee-relations issues appropriately.

• National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction/civil engineering.
• Proven experience managing construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and site operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid drivers licence.
• SACPCMP registration would be advantageous depending on project requirements.
