Job Summary
Server/Field Engineer Johannesburg - R20 000 R25 000 p.m (depending on experience and qualifications)
A leading company in Johannesburg is looking for a skilled Server/Field Engineer to manage maintain and optimize server and network environments for its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware Hyper-V)
- Handle backup disaster recovery and security compliance
- Administer Active Directory DNS DHCP and file servers
Requirements:
3 years experience in server administration
Expertise in Windows & Linux environments
Familiarity with scripting & automation (PowerShell Bash)
Strong knowledge of cloud & monitoring tools (AWS Azure Nagios)of
Own transport required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (MCSA MCSE RHCSA CompTIA Server)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
- Expertise with monitoring tools (Nagios SolarWinds Zabbix)
