Project Engineer Renewable Energy & BESS

An exciting engineering opportunity is available for a professional with experience in Battery Energy Storage and renewable energy projects. The role combines project execution technical coordination and application engineering with the primary focus on ensuring complex BESS and hybrid PV installations progress smoothly from design through commissioning and handover.

The Role Includes

• Serve as the technical engineering contact throughout project implementation.
• Translate project specifications customer requirements and contractual commitments into practical engineering deliverables.
• Highlight technical uncertainties risks deviations and design requirements at an early stage.
• Manage design interfaces between BESS equipment inverters EPC contractors customers and grid stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites across Southern Africa
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and associated electrical infrastructure

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 3 years experience as a Project Engineer within Solar PV BESS or hybrid renewable energy projects.
