This is a hands-on role for an experienced NPD professional who can confidently manage customer relationships drive multiple projects simultaneously and turn great ideas into successful products.

Our client is looking to employ a Product Development Manager based in Northern Suburbs Cape Town.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage relationships with retail customers and brand owners presenting new trends concepts and product opportunities.
• Lead product development projects from brief to commercial launch.
• Partner with R&D Packaging Supply Chain and Operations teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop packaging solutions and coordinate artwork approvals.
• Prepare product costings and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Track project timelines resolve challenges and provide ongoing customer support.
• Maintain accurate development documentation and project records.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Business-related Degree (BCom) Business Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years post-graduate experience in a procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
• 5-8 years relevant experience within Beauty /Personal Care / FMCG or manufacturing is preferred
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial understanding of costings margins and profitability.
• Experience developing consumer product ranges
