Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and delivery-focused Power BI Developer to partner directly with business stakeholders and rapidly develop executive and operational dashboards in a fast-paced healthcare funding environment.

The data models integrations and backend data architecture are already in place. The successful candidate will focus on understanding business requirements translating user needs into actionable dashboard designs and delivering high-quality Power BI reporting solutions within a demanding delivery timeline.

This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working under pressure engaging directly with business users challenging requirements where necessary and driving outcomes with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business users and subject matter experts.
Gather document and refine reporting and dashboard requirements.
Design and develop intuitive user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
Translate complex healthcare funding and membership data into meaningful visual insights.
Build and optimise DAX measures calculations KPIs and reporting logic.
Ensure dashboards are accurate performant and aligned to business objectives.
Conduct user demonstrations and incorporate feedback rapidly.
Drive iterative development cycles with stakeholders.
Troubleshoot report performance and usability issues.
Deliver reporting solutions within aggressive timelines and tight deadlines.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

7 years experience developing solutions in Power BI.
Strong Power BI dashboard design and visualisation expertise.
Advanced DAX skills.
Strong understanding of data modelling principles.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Experience publishing and managing Power BI Service environments.
Ability to rapidly prototype and refine reporting solutions based on stakeholder feedback.
Business & Soft Skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong business analysis and requirements elicitation capabilities.
Ability to facilitate workshops with senior business users.
Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
