Mechanical Design Engineer Midrand Permanent
A leading engineering organisation in the defence and mobility sector is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work across the full product life cycle from concept and design to prototyping testing and final commissioning.
Concept design calculations layouts and FEA evaluation
Create solid models assemblies and manufacturing drawings
Support prototype build testing and design improvements
Collaborate with manufacturing subcontractors and test teams
Manage subsystem design documentation and project targets
Provide production and procurement support
Degree/NDip/BTech in Mechanical or Design Engineering
57 years Mechanical Design Engineering experience
Military vehicle design experience advantageous
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles
Proficient in SolidWorks Onshape or similar
