Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced HRD Manager to lead all learning and development talent management succession planning and skills development initiatives across its mining and mineral processing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing workforce capability ensuring regulatory compliance fostering leadership growth and driving organizational effectiveness to support the company's operational and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop learning and talent management strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead skills development succession planning leadership development and workforce capability initiatives.
  • Manage training programs competency frameworks and compliance with mining industry regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and skills gap assessments to support operational performance.
  • Oversee learnerships apprenticeships graduate programs and employee development initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with training providers educational institutions and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on training effectiveness workforce development KPIs and compliance metrics.
  • Manage HRD budgets and ensure the efficient delivery of training and development programs.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Degree in Human Resources Industrial Psychology Education Business Management or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Development Learning & Development or Organizational Development advantageous.
  • Minimum 8-10 years' HRD experience within mining mineral processing engineering or heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience managing skills development talent management succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Strong knowledge of mining industry training requirements skills development legislation and workforce planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management facilitation coaching and communication skills.
  • Experience managing learning management systems and training compliance reporting.
