Intermediate-Senior Full Stack Developer (Laravel & React)

A South African property development investment and management company specializing in student housing inner-city accommodation and commercial and industrial real estate is seeking an Intermediate-to-Senior Full Stack Developer (Laravel & React) to design build and maintain features for the clients Nexus web platform.

Responsibilities:

• Development & Architecture: Design build and optimize scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using PHP Laravel and React. Conduct high-level architecture reviews code reviews and unit testing.

• Delivery & Execution: Lead sprint execution standups and release readiness. Translate commercial and product requirements into clear technical delivery plans.

• Defect Management & Stability: Own end-to-end bug triage root-cause diagnosis (analyzing logs traces and API responses) and release quality. Ensure durable fixes over short-term patches.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide developers and QA to resolve technical blockers align delivery with commercial commitments and maintain clear status reporting for executive leadership.

• Experience: 5 years of software development experience with a focus on PHP and Laravel.

• Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in PHP Laravel React (or Angular) MySQL RESTful APIs and Git.

• Systems & Cloud: Basic understanding of Linux-based web servers and deployment platforms (e.g. Laravel Forge RunCloud).

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving root-cause analysis cross-functional communication and self-management skills.
