Data Collection & Management:
- Collect cleanse validate and organise data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain and enhance databases data warehouses and data systems.
- Ensure data governance and quality standards are consistently met.
- Analyse large and complex financial datasets to identify trends patterns anomalies and opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial and operational data analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings.
- Design develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualisations for business stakeholders.
- Present findings in a clear and meaningful manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support ongoing reporting requirements and business performance monitoring.
- Partner closely with finance and business teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Work alongside technology teams to implement data-driven solutions and improvements.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes data quality and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies tools and best practices in analytics and business intelligence.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Data Science Statistics Finance Economics Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Data Analytics Business Intelligence or Finance will be advantageous.
- Minimum 36 years of experience in a Data Analyst role within the financial services banking investment insurance or related finance sectors.
- Proven experience working with large datasets and financial reporting environments.
- Strong SQL skills for querying analysing and managing data.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and automation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI Tableau or similar data visualisation platforms.
- Strong experience withMicrosoft Fabricincluding data engineering data integration reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Familiarity with financial databases data warehouses and cloud-based data platforms.
