Enforcement Specialist

INVESTIGATIONS

• Liaise with inspectors and conduct joint investigation when and where necessary.
• Carry out investigations and draw up investigations plans. Conduct and record interviews with witnesses and suspects. Record witness statements.
• Compile and prepare case dockets and exhibit files as per enforcement manual.
• Safeguard documents relating to investigations that have been conducted. Present enforcement file to the Manager: Enforcement & Exemptions
• Compile enforcement reports.
• Liaise with other enforcement agencies and conduct joint investigations where necessary.
• Report criminal cases to the SAPS and assist the prosecutors in preparing charges levelled against offenders who contravened any civil aviation prescripts.
• Keep track of all enforcement cases submitted for prosecution.
• Provide enforcement reports to the Manager: Enforcement.
• Prepare reports to the Director in relation to enforcement actions taken and recommend further action.
• Compile enforcement progress updates and forward them to the enforcement coordinator.
• Ensure SACAA internal clients are up to date with developments in their enforcement cases

MANAGEMENT OF ENFORCEMENT CASES

• Manage and control enforcement files.
• Monitor and ensure that all developments relating to enforcement cases are accurately recorded in the enforcement register.
• Manage monitor and make follow-ups on enforcement matters internally and externally.
• Prepare monthly reports detailing all enforcement cases taken and their status.
• Ensure that relevant SACAA clients are up-to-date with developments in their enforcement cases.
• Report and track progress on all enforcement cases including those that have been reported to the SAPS/NPA.

ADMINISTRATION

• Ensure safe keeping of all enforcement files.
• Capture and maintain all enforcement file information on the EBS system
• Capture track and maintain the enforcement outcomes on the EBS system
• Flag on the EBS system enforcement outcome that has been caried out

EDUCATION:

• Matric
• Cargo Security Certificate or Dangerous Goods Cat 6 or Aviation Security Course
• Government Safety Inspector Course

IDEAL

• ICAO recognised Diploma in Aviation Safety or Security

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 Years experience in investigations or inspections or quality assurance or auditing
