We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Credit Controller to join our Debtors team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working with numbers building positive client relationships and ensuring effective collections processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the timely collection of outstanding membership fees and subscription debt.
  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices and statements for new and renewing members.
  • Monitor debtor accounts and follow up on overdue balances through calls emails and formal correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities payment arrangements and member communications.
  • Produce regular reports on collections performance and ageing debt.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Membership teams to ensure adherence to credit control policies and procedures.
  • Provide professional and customer-focused support to members regarding account queries and billing matters.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Bookkeeping Credit Management Finance or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a debtors credit control collections or subscription billing environment.
  • Experience working with membership management systems or CRM platforms will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving collection targets and working within established turnaround times.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong numerical ability and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professional and confident communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial administration systems.
  • Customer-focused with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
