Sr Manufacturing Staff Manager Material Plan & Execution

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts the teams ability to achieve service quality and timeliness of objectives. Manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Manage the logistic function processes such as the inbound & outbound processes and warehousing etc. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Role Overview:

• Manage master planning material processes and systems prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.

• Coordinate input on material shortages farm out and delivery of materials/hardware.

• Interface with demand management shop scheduling fulfilment team supply sources customer service reps and other GE organizations as required.

• Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.

• Optimize inventory and process improvements.

• Manage the buying process for a given set of goods.

• Apply sourcing policy interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets

• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.

• Manage problems and schedule changes.

• Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services.

• Perform tasks related to logistic function such as receiving/shipping warehousing and releasing materials into production.

• Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

• Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.

• Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

• Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business.

• Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.

• High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements risk and/or complexity.

• Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics.

• Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others.

• Requires specialized knowledge within the function.

• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strategic and results-driven supply chain leader with deep experience in materials planning sourcing procurement and logistics combined with strong operational judgment and the ability to lead teams through complex production and delivery challenges. They demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset strong cross-functional collaboration and the humility transparency focus and problem-solving skills needed to drive business performance and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• This role requires significant experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution Sourcing & Buying-Procurement and the Logistics & Functional Management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Materials planning Sourcing Supply Chain Operations or Project Management

• Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
