Software Engineer (Java Kotlin)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to design develop enhance and support enterprise applications. The role focuses on Java/Kotlin Spring Boot IBM MQ SQL and complex production troubleshooting with opportunities to work across the full software development lifecycle.

• Design develop test and maintain enterprise applications using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable secure and maintainable solutions.
• Analyse and resolve complex legacy system defects and production issues.
• Develop optimise and troubleshoot SQL queries across Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Work with JMS/IBM MQ REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Apply JUnit TDD code reviews and software engineering best practices.
• Support AWS CI/CD Docker and Git environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming data structures algorithms and software design.
• Experience with JUnit TDD and acceptance testing.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with JMS/IBM MQ and REST/SOAP Web Services.
• Working knowledge of Linux AWS CI/CD Docker and Git.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with EJB JPA/Hibernate JBoss/WildFly Kafka or .
• Experience with complex SQL query optimisation.
• Experience supporting and enhancing large-scale legacy applications.
