Job Summary

  • Lead maritime training and development initiatives for seafaring personnel in line with operational and business needs.

  • Develop and maintain competency frameworks training matrices and learning plans for different shipboard roles.

  • Coordinate mandatory technical safety and professional development training in line with maritime regulations and company standards.

  • Work closely with Marine HR Fleet Technical and Safety teams to identify training needs and capability gaps.

  • Support career development and promotion readiness for seafarers through structured learning programmes.

  • Manage external training providers maritime academies and other learning partners.

  • Promote the use of e-learning simulation Workday Learning and other digital training tools to improve learning effectiveness.

  • Monitor training completion competency development and programme effectiveness using relevant learning data and feedback.

  • Ensure training records and documentation are accurate updated and ready for audits or compliance reviews.

  • Manage the training budget and recommend improvements to programmes processes and learning resources.



Requirements
  • Degree in Maritime Studies Human Resources Learning & Development Business Marine Engineering or a related discipline; maritime professional qualifications would be advantageous.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in maritime training seafarer development Marine HR Learning & Development or competency management.

  • Good knowledge of maritime training and regulatory requirements including STCW; exposure to TMSA and shipboard competency development is preferred.

  • Experience in training needs analysis competency frameworks training programmes and LMS platforms preferably Workday Learning as well as other digital learning tools.

  • Strong communication stakeholder management and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multicultural and operational teams.
