Telecoms Engineer

Validation of Construction Drawings

• Review and validate telecom construction drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve any discrepancies or technical issues in the drawings.
• Ensure that all drawings are properly documented and maintained for reference.

Site Supervision

• Supervise the installation of telecom systems on-site including:
  • Radio communication systems (TETRA LTE Wi-Fi)
  • Transmission systems (FO SDH IP/MPLS)
  • CCTV telephony intercom Passenger Information System (PIS)
• Ensure all work is performed according to the approved drawings and project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance and quality of installations.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to the construction teams.

Installation Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

• Oversee the installation of telecom systems and ensure their proper integration into the monorail infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
• Develop and implement testing procedures to verify the functionality and performance of telecom systems.
• Lead commissioning activities and ensure that all systems are fully operational and meet project requirements.

Integration

• Ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with other monorail subsystems (CBTC signalling SCADA BMS access control etc.).
• Work closely with different stakeholders to address integration challenges and develop appropriate solutions.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of integrated systems to ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Networks Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in telecom engineering preferably in rail or monorail projects.
• Strong knowledge of communication systems (TETRA LTE FO IP/MPLS) and associated standards (IEC EN NFPA 130).
• Experience in site supervision and project management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
