Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 510 years experience within refining /oil and gas plants /petrochemical industries. Be able to demonstrate proficiency in the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry i.e. API ISO ASME Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of metering systems and Experience in process safety related activities like HAZOP risk Assessment etc is preferred.

Bachelor degree in chemical Engineering

Work Experience

Reviews the work performed elsewhere than in SAO for conformance with SAO conditions and to assure its appropriate relationship to existing installations; and if required redesigns and recommends necessary the supporting service requirements such as drafting surveying materials takeoff requisitioning and clerical services; checks and coordinates the progress of such work; and reviews it for accuracy upon Cost estimates for the cost of engineering labor equipment and materials based on analysis of preliminary design data; draws up the expenditure request and justification; and assembles the supporting other engineers in the solution of problems outside their specialty (application).Initiates reports assembles performance data and conducts studies relative to the development procurement or adaptation of equipment; interpreting the meaning and application of codes and standards reviewing operating procedures and safety of engineering material and equipment specifications and resolves related engineering problems. Applies accepted engineering principles codes and standards; making the necessary diagrams and calculations; and considering the economic factors solutions and formulates design basis by collecting and analyzing data relative to operating requirements process and economic considerations to support proposals for new construction modifications or equipment and inspects the construction progress of assigned projects assuring conformance with company engineering requirements; Recommends or confirms design changes material and equipment substitutes; and assures that cost is within appropriated funds or justifies incurred overrun.

Execute capital projects according to the work scope schedule and budget.

Responsible for project development and completion: Preliminary engineering to detail designs to construction and the final and safe turnover to proponent.

Manage General Engineering Services (GES) design contractor activities

Design development of project proposal include definition of project work scope and schedule requirements.

Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval.

Manage contractor preparation of detailed design drawings material specifications and procurement and/or construction bid packages.

Provide input to develop and prepare contracting plan and strategy for solicitation evaluation and award of contract for detail engineering procurement and construction.

Coordinate activities and resolve issues among proponents contractors and other parties to allow construction activities to progress according to plan and final mechanical completion.

Review of project schedule coordinating and monitoring the assigned project progress and challenge below par performance of the contractor

Review and resolve day to day contractors claims and complaints related to assigned project work during construction.

Ensuring compliance to company standards procedures policies and agreed work specifications.

Fully understand contract documents (inclusive of appendices drawings and specifications) project plan interface management change management construction sequencing standards specifications and project schedule to support project manager and/or company representative in timely completion of project.

Project Reporting and implementation of company initiatives during project .
