Platform Screen Door Engineer

Validation of Construction Drawings

• Review and validate PSD system construction drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Coordinate with design teams and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or technical issues in the drawings.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all drawings for future reference.

Site Supervision

• Oversee the installation of Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and related systems including:
  • Full-height and half-height PSD installations
  • PSD mechanical and structural components
  • PSD electrical systems (motors sensors safety interlocks)
  • Communication and control interfaces with signalling (CBTC) and SCADA systems
• Ensure that installation is performed according to approved drawings and project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the construction teams.

Installation Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

• Supervise the installation and functional integration of the PSD system with the monorails operations.
• Ensure correct alignment door synchronization and interlocking with the train signalling system (CBTC).
• Develop and implement testing procedures for safety verification operational performance and redundancy checks.
• Lead the commissioning activities to validate PSD functionality ensuring compliance with NFPA 130 and other relevant safety standards.

Integration

• Ensure seamless integration of PSD with other monorail subsystems (signalling SCADA telecom BMS passenger information systems).
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve system conflicts and optimize door opening/closing sequences.
• Monitor and evaluate the long-term performance and reliability of PSD systems.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Railway Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in PSD engineering preferably in metro monorail or railway projects.
• Strong knowledge of PSD technology safety interlocks CBTC signalling interface and system integration.
• Experience in site supervision testing and commissioning of PSD systems.
• Good understanding of railway safety standards (NFPA 130 EN 14752 IEC 62267).
• Excellent problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines
