Senior Functional Test Engineer (FM)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Test Specialist to join our engineering team and contribute to the validation and verification of automotive embedded systems.

Join our team as a Senior Functional Test Specialist and drive excellence in testing delivering reliable and high-quality products to our customers.

In this role you will be responsible for designing executing and documenting functional software and system tests while ensuring compliance with industry standards and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system and software requirements and derive comprehensive test cases and test scenarios

• Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases

• Plan execute and document software and system-level tests

• Apply appropriate test methodologies and test design techniques

• Perform testing activities according to V-Model ASPICE and Agile development processes

• Validate ECU functionality using CAN and LIN communication protocols

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using CAPL and/or C/C

• Identify document and track defects in close collaboration with development teams

• Prepare and maintain test reports and test completion documentation

Candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Automation Computer Science Telecommunications or a related technical field

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in automotive functional software and/or system testing

• Strong knowledge of software and system testing methods techniques and best practices

• Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals

• Hands-on experience with CAN and LIN communication protocols

• Experience with automotive test tools such as CANoe CANalyzer etc

• Programming experience in CAPL and/or C/C

• Knowledge of ECU diagnostics and embedded systems

• Familiarity with V-Model ASPICE and Agile development methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good command of English both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience in test automation and scripting.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent testing qualification.
