Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Welding Inspection: Conduct inspection of welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications ASME AWS and ISO codes.

  • Procedure & Consumable Verification: Review and validate welding procedures consumables and welder qualifications.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor welding operations joint preparation and postweld heat treatment for adherence to standards.

  • NDT Coordination: Supervise or perform NDT activities (RT UT MT PT) and review reports for accuracy.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain welding inspection records WPS/PQR documentation and QA/QC logs.

  • NonConformance Management: Identify welding defects issue NCRs and verify corrective actions.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure welding operations comply with HSE protocols especially for confined space and hot work.

  • Coordination: Liaise with QA/QC managers project engineers and contractors to resolve welding issues.




Requirements
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) or CSWIP 3.2 (Senior Welding Inspector).

  • Minimum 510 years welding inspection experience with offshore oil & gas exposure preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX AWS D1.1 API codes and ISO standards.

Certifications & Training
  • CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Welding Inspector (mandatory).

  • NDT Level II (RT UT MT PT) preferred.

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management awareness.

  • Offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET).

  • HSE training for hot work and confined space.
