Welding Inspector

The Welding QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring welding and fabrication activities comply with approved WPS PQR welder qualifications applicable API/ASME/NACE standards customer specifications and project quality requirements. The role will involve inspection documentation NDE/PWHT coordination material verification and maintenance of welding quality records.

• Implement and monitor WPS PQR and WQR requirements in accordance with API ASME NACE MR0175 and other applicable international standards.

• Inspect and verify welding activities involving carbon steel 41XX series materials stainless steel Super Duplex and Inconel/alloy materials.

• Ensure compliance with welding processes including GTAW GMAW SMAW and SAW.

• Maintain and monitor the validity of welder qualifications and certifications.

• Prepare and maintain Weld Inspection Records PWHT Reports and Weld Maps.

• Coordinate and monitor NDE and PWHT activities ensuring compliance with approved procedures and specifications.

• Coordinate with welding shop supervisors welders and operators to ensure daily verification logs and welding parameters are properly recorded.

• Compile review and maintain job-specific quality records welding records and documentation dossiers prior to submission to customers.

• Review work-order routing against applicable standards procedures product specifications and customer requirements.

• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) against material specifications technical delivery conditions and purchase-order requirements.

• Maintain the welding defect database/data book and monitor recurring welding quality issues.

• Conduct inspections and ensure welding activities meet approved quality requirements.

• Coordinate with customer representatives and third-party inspectors during inspection and verification activities.

• Maintain both soft and hard copies of QA/QC documentation in an organized and readily retrievable manner.

• Prepare and submit weekly quality performance reports to management.

• Support repair remanufacturing and manufacturing activities in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.

• Ensure all quality documentation is complete accurate and traceable.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Welding QC/Inspection within an Oil & Gas Oilfield Services or API-certified manufacturing environment.

• Valid AWS-CWI CSWIP 3.1 or CSWIP 3.2 certification is required.

• NDE Level II qualification in RT UT MT PT and VT.

• Strong knowledge of welding inspection fabrication and quality-control practices.

• Experience working with 41XX series stainless steel Super Duplex Inconel and other alloy materials.

• Strong knowledge of GTAW GMAW SMAW and SAW welding processes.

• Familiarity with API 6A API 16A API 16C API 5CT API 7 and API 7-1 specifications.

• Good knowledge of applicable ASME and NACE standards including NACE MR0175.

• Experienced in preparing and maintaining QA/QC and welding documentation.

• Proficient in MS Office and relevant industry/quality applications.

• Familiarity with repair remanufacturing and manufacturing of oilfield equipment.

• Ability to work effectively with customers third-party inspectors welders and workshop personnel.

• Willingness to travel to different geographical locations as required.
