Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Receive inspect record and store materials tools spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain accurate inventory stock records and material issue/return documentation.
- Ensure proper storage labeling preservation and segregation of marine and project materials.
- Coordinate with deck maintenance procurement and logistics teams for material requirements.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and report shortages or damaged materials.
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow warehouse and marine HSE procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years of Storeman experience in marine projects.
- Experience on vessels barges shipyards ports or marine facilities.
- Good knowledge of inventory control material handling and warehouse procedures.
- Familiar with tools spare parts consumables and marine equipment materials.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with inventory systems preferred.
- Good organizational communication and record-keeping skills.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
