Senior MEP Design Engineer (FEED/Detailed Engineering)

Client: One of the leading Oil & Gas consultants in Qatar

Role Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Engineer with 12 years of consultancy background specializing in front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed engineering for oil & gas projects. This position focuses strictly on engineering design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of MEP design drawings (mechanical electrical plumbing) for major oil & gas facilities
• Conduct load calculations layout development equipment sizing schematic diagrams and detailed specifications
• Coordinate design inputs with architectural structural and civil disciplines to ensure integrated solutions
• Ensure designs comply with Qatari codes international standards and client project requirements
• Produce comprehensive BOQs technical documentation and design reports for FEED and detailed engineering phases
• Facilitate technical design meetings and provide clarifications during project stages
• Review and approve contractor/shop drawings related to MEP scope

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 12 years experience in a design-focused role at consultancy firms primarily within oil & gas sector
• Proven expertise in FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for complex oil & gas projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other MEP design software
• Deep knowledge of local regulations (QCS) and international standards (ASHRAE NFPA IEC)
• MMUP/UPDA certification or equivalent preferred
