Job Summary
- Assist senior technicians with the maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators.
- Perform routine inspections cleaning lubrication and adjustment of elevator components.
- Support troubleshooting of basic electrical and mechanical faults.
- Check doors buttons indicators switches safety devices and operating systems.
- Assist in replacing defective components cables switches and other parts.
- Maintain tools equipment and spare parts in proper working condition.
- Complete maintenance checklists and report identified faults to the senior technician.
- Follow safety procedures technical instructions and manufacturer guidelines.
- Attend breakdown calls and emergency maintenance activities with the service team.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in machine rooms shafts pits and work areas.
- Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Electronics Mechanical or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in elevator or escalator maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring mechanical components control systems and safety devices.
- Ability to use hand tools testing instruments and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to understand basic electrical drawings and technical instructions.
- Willingness to learn and work under the supervision of senior technicians.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in elevator shafts pits and machine rooms.
- Good teamwork discipline and communication skills.
- GCC or Qatar experience is preferred.
- Immediate availability with a valid QID is preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
