Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection troubleshooting repair and maintenance of heavy equipment used in marine operations.
- Maintain excavators forklifts loaders cranes generators compressors and other mechanical equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Diagnose mechanical hydraulic and basic electrical faults and replace defective components.
- Perform servicing overhauling lubrication and equipment testing after repair.
- Follow PTW LOTO housekeeping and marine HSE procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience in marine projects.
- Experience in shipyards ports barges marine terminals or similar environments.
- Good knowledge of diesel engines hydraulic systems transmissions brakes and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair construction and material-handling equipment.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance breakdown repair and equipment inspection.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Heavy Equipment Maintenance preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
