Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Assistant General Manager Business Development to lead national-level business development activities for PSU EPC and large infrastructure projects across India. The role involves strategic sales planning government tender handling project bidding contract negotiations and revenue growth management related to steel fabrication and hot-dip galvanizing services.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to PSU projects EPC contractors infrastructure sectors and long-cycle government contract closures.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business development activities for PSU EPC infrastructure transmission railway oil & gas renewable energy and highway sectors
Identify new business opportunities and manage key client relationships across India
Handle high-value government tenders technical bids and commercial proposals
Lead pre-bid meetings negotiations and contract closures for multi-crore projects
Coordinate with factory operations and internal teams for execution planning and margin control
Represent the company during client meetings audits and compliance reviews
Develop strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and order booking targets
Maintain strong relationships with government authorities consultants and EPC contractors
Support senior management in commercial and strategic business decisions
Salary: Upto 1.5Lakhs per Month
Requirements
1520 years of experience in Business Development / Sales / Marketing
Mandatory experience in PSU and EPC projects
Strong exposure to infrastructure transmission railways oil & gas renewable energy or highways sectors
Proven experience in government tendering and large project bidding
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Experience handling long-gestation government projects and commercial discussions
Excellent leadership stakeholder management and communication skills
Languages Required: English Tamil Hindi
Required Skills:
Valid two-wheeler is mandatory for field operations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated disciplined and driven by performance targets. Minimum qualification: 12th pass; graduation preferred. 6 months to 12 months of experience in channel sales (e.g. AP/Akzo Laminates Plywood Electricals Lubricants). Fresh graduates or professionals from insurance or banking sectors with sales aptitude are also encouraged to apply.
