Job Summary

Job Summary

The Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations ensuring safe and efficient execution of activities within the assigned oil & gas function (upstream midstream or downstream). The role ensures compliance with company policies industry regulations and HSE standards while achieving operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
  • Plan organize and manage daily operational activities.

  • Ensure production targets and operational KPIs are achieved.

  • Monitor asset performance and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate with engineering maintenance and project teams.

2. HSE & Compliance
  • Enforce Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international oil & gas regulations.

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

3. Financial & Budget Control
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.

  • Control operational costs and optimize resource utilization.

  • Review and approve procurement and service contracts.

  • Monitor financial performance against targets.

4. Project & Contract Management
  • Oversee project execution within scope time and budget.

  • Manage contractors vendors and service providers.

  • Ensure contract compliance and performance evaluation.

  • Support tendering and technical evaluation processes.

5. Team Leadership
  • Lead and supervise engineers supervisors and technicians.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and training programs.

  • Promote teamwork accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Develop succession planning and capability enhancement initiatives.

6. Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Prepare operational and performance reports.

  • Coordinate with senior management on strategic initiatives.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.

  • At least 3–5 years in supervisory/management role.

  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas operations (upstream midstream or downstream).

  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
