Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform operation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of high-voltage electrical power distribution systems within Dukhan Fields. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment up to 33kV preferably in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical power distribution systems up to 33kV.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in high-voltage and power distribution equipment.
• Carry out maintenance of substations switchboards transformers and associated electrical systems.
• Inspect maintain and test AC UPS DC UPS battery banks overhead lines power cables lighting systems and earthing systems.
• Perform routine inspections and ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Assist in installation testing commissioning and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company procedures electrical safety standards and permit-to-work requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment defects and completed work.

Qualifications & Experience

• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry is preferred.
• Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems up to 33kV.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

• High Voltage (HV) electrical systems up to 33kV
• Electrical substations
• Switchboards
• Power transformers
• AC UPS & DC UPS systems
• Battery banks
• Overhead transmission lines
• Power cables
• Lighting systems
• Earthing systems
• Electrical testing and fault diagnosis
• Various types of protection relays and protection systems

Preferred Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work in remote field locations and during shutdown or emergency maintenance activities.
