Embedded Software Release Engineer (fmdiv.)
Job Summary
Your contribution to something big:
As an Embedded Software Release Engineer you will play a key role in bringing embedded software from development into production. Acting as an interface between software hardware security manufacturing and project teams you will coordinate software releases and ensure that all technical dependencies configurations and validation activities are aligned for a successful production deployment.
- Coordinate software releases: Prepare and coordinate the delivery of production-ready embedded software releases for customer and platform projects.
- Ensure production readiness: Define and maintain software release content coordinating software packages and production-relevant configurations according to project-specific requirements and constraints.
- Manage technical dependencies: Coordinate dependencies across software hardware security and manufacturing considering hardware maturity feature availability production capabilities and system limitations.
- Take ownership: Act as a central point of contact for software deployment and production readiness topics ensuring alignment between the different technical and project stakeholders.
- Support validation: Define and coordinate project-specific validation and testing scopes and support First Production Part Checks before software releases are handed over to manufacturing.
- Connect development and production: Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that the correct software packages configurations and security settings are available for reliable production deployment.
- Drive collaboration: Bring together software hardware security manufacturing and project teams to support efficient decision-making and successful software delivery.
- Improve the way we work: Contribute to process improvements technical documentation knowledge sharing training activities and best practices related to software releases and production deployment.
- Grow your project perspective: Collaborate closely with Technical Project Managers and gain exposure to project planning stakeholder management and delivery coordination supporting a potential future development path towards Software Project Management.
Qualifications :
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Experience in Embedded Software Development Software Integration Systems Engineering or a similar technical role.
- Experience with software release delivery and/or production deployment processes is valued.
Know-how
- Good understanding of embedded systems software development lifecycles release processes and software configuration management.
- You understand the interaction between software and hardware within complex embedded systems and are familiar with software validation and production environments.
- Knowledge of production-related software configurations security settings and release content management is an advantage.
Languages
- Good written and spoken English skills enabling you to work effectively in an international environment.
Working Style and Methods
- You work in a structured analytical and solution-oriented way and are comfortable coordinating activities across multiple technical domains. You can identify dependencies anticipate potential risks and bring the right stakeholders together to find solutions.
Personality
