Network & Telecom Architect

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join the Infrastructure Architecture team in the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Network & Telecom Architect will be responsible for assessing the current and future needs of the enterprise infrastructure and leading the design and implementation of network firewall and telecommunication architectures. This role will drive high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and users.

The role will partner closely with the Infra Command Center team and other BT stakeholders to ensure successful service adoption and transition. This position reports to the Network & Telecom Solutions Architect Lead within the Business Technology organization.

• Develop strategies and technical direction for network and telecom solutions including Wireless LAN/WAN Cloud SD-WAN routing and switching firewalls load balancing VoIP and access control systems.
• Architect and design scalable secure resilient and high-performance network and telecom solutions including voice and unified communications platforms.
• Collaborate with business partners infrastructure teams security teams and application teams to ensure architecture aligns with business requirements and strategic objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend networking and voice technologies including conducting proof-of-concept initiatives and validating solutions against business and technical requirements.
• Design enterprise network solutions including LAN/WAN wireless networking SD-WAN MPLS VPN VoIP SIP cloud connectivity and video conferencing technologies.
• Define and review network security architectures including firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs cloud interconnects and access control solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on network and telecom technologies architecture standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to support the delivery of network and telecom solutions.
• Participate in technology assessments vendor evaluations and solution selection activities.
• Provide architectural oversight for solution design deployment and operational transition activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations policies standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support business and technology objectives.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation standards diagrams network drawings and technical designs.

• Knowledge of enterprise network architecture telecom technologies and infrastructure strategy.
• Deep understanding of internet architectures TCP/IP routing switching SD-WAN VPNs wireless networking and cloud networking.
• Expertise in telecom and voice technologies including VoIP SIP trunking unified communications and video conferencing solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network security architecture cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable secure and resilient technical solutions.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a global environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required.
• Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g. CCNP CCIE Cisco Collaboration Palo Alto Fortinet AWS Azure or equivalent).

• 10 years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise network and telecom infrastructure solutions in large global environments.
• Experience developing and executing Network & Telecom architecture strategies.
• In-depth understanding of telecom network systems and protocols including MPLS L2VPN L3VPN SD-WAN MP-BGP OSPF EIGRP IS-IS H-QoS and IPSec.
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies including LAN WAN WLAN SD-WAN MPLS VPN and Cloud Networking.
• Experience with telecom and voice technologies including VoIP SIP Unified Communications and Collaboration platforms.
• Experience with network security technologies including firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs access control systems and cloud connectivity solutions.
• Experience evaluating technologies conducting proof-of-concepts and developing architecture recommendations based on business and technical requirements.
• Proven ability to act as a senior technical subject matter expert for enterprise networking and telecom solutions.
