Java Software Engineer C

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a long-term development and maintenance project covering 7 business applications built in Java.

You will become part of a 5-person development team responsible for further development of the clients applications implementing new functionalities and improvements as well as supporting the resolution of application-related issues when needed.

This role is a good fit for someone who feels comfortable working with existing enterprise applications while also actively contributing to their ongoing development.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and enhancing Java-based applications
• Implementing new functionalities and improvements across the clients application landscape
• Designing and implementing REST APIs
• Working with relational databases and optimizing SQL queries
• Managing database schema changes using Liquibase
• Supporting the investigation and resolution of support tickets when required
• Working closely with other members of the 5-person development team
• Contributing to the ongoing maintenance and technical development of the applications

Qualifications :

Must-have skills

Java & Backend

• Very good knowledge of Java 17
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java backend development
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot 3.x
• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs

Databases

• Experience working with relational databases particularly:
  • Oracle Database
  • PostgreSQL
• Strong SQL skills including writing and optimizing queries
• Experience managing database schema changes with Liquibase

Nice to have

Systems & tools

• Knowledge of Java EE / Jakarta EE
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Familiarity with Bash
• Experience working with Git
• Basic knowledge of Apache Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Knowledge of GlassFish 7

Business application frontend

• Knowledge of JSF
• Experience with PrimeFaces

Additional Information :

Fluency in Polish and English required. 

Hybrid work model: 2 days from the office 3 days of home office.

Office location: Warsaw Poznań Lublin Katowice Rzeszów or Łódź.
