Position Overview
As a Java Developeryoullplay a key role in building andmaintainingbackend services that power digital transformation initiatives for a major withmicroservicesarchitectures event-driven systems and cloud platforms to deliver solutions that are scalable secure and performant. Your contributions will directlyimpactcustomer experiences and support theorganisationstechnology evolution. This position offers hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and the chance to solve complex technical challenges in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
Develop andmaintainbackend services using Java Spring Boot and Spring Security
Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures with Confluent Kafka
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Jenkins and shell scripting
Write and execute unit integration and performance tests using Mockito Gatling and JMeter
Monitor troubleshoot andoptimisesystems using New Relic and Grafana
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Apply secure coding practices across all development activities
Requirements
8-10 years of professional software development experience
Strongproficiencyin Java and Spring Boot frameworks
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Kafka
Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Exposure to AWS cloud services or AI technologies (desirable)
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as Gatling and JMeter (desirable)
Knowledge of system monitoring tools like New Relic and Grafana (desirable)
Experience in shell scripting for automation (desirable)
