What will you be doing in this role

• Accountable for Service Configuration Management and the CMDB.
• Defining executing monitoring and continuously improving the Service Configuration Management practice.
• Establishing tracking and reporting on Service Configuration Management and CMDB KPIs.
• Ensuring that the CMDB contains accurate and up-to-date information.
• Ensuring that service trees are maintained and kept up to date.
• Ensuring that Service Configuration Management processes and the CMDB are accurately reflected in the ITSM solution.
• Preparing and maintaining policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support the Service Configuration Management practice.
• Contributing to the implementation and improvement of other ITIL practices.
• Creating and maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position

• Bachelors degree plus at least 5 years of IT experience including 2 years in a similar role or relevant project experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) particularly Service Configuration Management.
• Proven experience in defining implementing documenting and improving Service Configuration Management practices.
• Hands-on experience in implementing managing and governing a CMDB including CI lifecycle management.
• Proven ownership of CMDB data quality governance and continuous improvement.
• Experience integrating CMDB with Change Enablement and other ITSM processes.
• Practical knowledge of data source management automated discovery and CMDB integrations.
• Experience creating maintaining and mapping services service trees and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of IT service lifecycle management complex information systems and their interoperability.
• Proven experience with CMDB reporting auditing and ServiceNow Configuration Management/CMDB.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong reporting and organizational abilities.
