Company Overview

Our client is an established international bank operating within the corporate markets

sector. They specialise in Product Control functions supporting complex financial

products across cash derivatives and structured instruments. The organisation is

currently undertaking strategic change initiatives to enhance their front-to-back

technology stack focusing on Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet production accounting and

reporting capabilities. They foster a collaborative environment where professionals work

across geographies to deliver control-focused solutions that meet both regulatory

requirements and business objectives.

They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialist knowledge in Valuations

& Analytics to join their Product Control team in Krakow. This contract position offers the

opportunity to contribute to significant transformation projects while working with

sophisticated financial products and valuation Overview

As a Business Analyst specialising in Valuations & Analytics you will play a key role in

supporting strategic change initiatives within the Product Control function. Youll work

closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies to analyse complex datasets

translate insights into actionable requirements and ensure both functional and control

aspects of change are properly addressed. This position requires someone who can bridge

the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders while maintaining a strong

focus on valuation controls pricing methodologies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Analyse markets products datasets to extract insights and develop discussion

points for working groups

Translate business requirements into clear user stories for Agile delivery teams

Support strategic change projects related to valuations control and pricing

infrastructure

Collaborate with stakeholders across geographies to ensure alignment on

deliverables

Review and validate Independent Price Verification processes and methodologies

Assess valuation adjustments including bid-offer spreads day one reserves and

model valuation adjustments

Contribute to fair value measurement processes in line with IFRS 13 requirements

Identify and escalate risks inherent in project deliverables to supervisors and

stakeholders

Promote control standards across both functional and non-functional aspects of

change

Navigate technical discussions with confidence working effectively with

technology teams

Requirements

3-5 years of experience within Product Control functions at an international bank

Overall work experience in the range of 5-10 years within financial services

Strong knowledge of corporate markets financial products (cash derivatives or

structured) Specialist expertise in FX Debt Markets or Equities products

Solid understanding of pricing and valuation aspects of markets products

Experience with valuations control activities such as Independent Price Verification

Knowledge of valuation adjustments (bid-offer day one reserves model valuation

adjustments)

Understanding of issuer or counterparty credit adjustments (own credit spread and

XVA)

Familiarity with front-to-back technology supporting P&L and Balance Sheet

production

Experience working as a business analyst within change functions or supporting

strategic initiatives

Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English

Excellent stakeholder management abilities with experience networking across

teams

Good time management skills with ability to self-prioritise work

Control-minded approach with focus on risk identification and mitigation

Awareness of Agile Project Management methodologies (or willingness to learn

quickly)

Knowledge of fair value measurements (IFRS 13) and related disclosures (desirable)

Basic SQL knowledge or inclination to learn technical elements (desirable)
