Location: Warsaw

Hybrid Model: 3 days per week from office

Work closely with a team of Procurement & Purchasing specialists who take responsibility for supplier relationship management. Handle complex issues and provides guidance to more junior staff on sourcing related issues. Ensure all sourcing arrangements are successful and aligned to company and area strategy and manages supplier relationships at a strategic level. Otherwise may be responsible for strategic planning relationship management and reviews of existing supplier arrangements for an entire spend category for a region or all of AstraZeneca.

Typical Accountabilities

• Lead procurement activities defining business needs and driving proposals within established frameworks.
• Manage demand and supply planning ensuring service performance and financial targets are achieved.
• Oversee supplier relationships contracts and spend to ensure best value compliance and delivery of high-quality services.
• Align procurement strategies with business objectives working closely with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Source and introduces new products and services prepare briefs and support contract negotiations.
• Conduct market research analyse trends and drive improvement opportunities across procurement processes.
• Resolve complex escalations and provide clear leadership and development opportunities for the procurement team.
• Lead successful adoption of digital tools and best practices through ongoing learning and structured approaches.
• Navigate changing business priorities and deals with setbacks well making informed decisions that drive the right outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Degree level or equivalent qualifications;
• Significant experience in similar environment;
• Project management change management process excellence and people management skills;
• Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry;
• Technical expertise in at least one Procurement area and competence in several others;
• Communication skills and ability to influence others; high level of stakeholder engagement comfort with risk and ambiguous situations digital literacy sourcing and negotiation skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in line management.
