Associate Engineer (for Informatics students)

We are looking for an Associate Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of IoT and embedded systems projects. This role involves participating in the development maintenance testing and configuration of technology solutions while adhering to established quality and security standards.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and maintenance of software and IoT/IT system components.
Support the configuration installation and maintenance of systems software hardware and network infrastructure.
Support cybersecurity analysis activities and incident resolution.
Prepare execute and document software tests including unit tests.
Support activities related to system protection and reliability.
Participate in system monitoring and production deployment preparations.
Train users and provide technical support to customers and end users.
Attend project internal and customer meetings.
Escalate issues risks and unexpected situations to supervisors.
Apply and adhere to established quality security and organizational standards and processes.
Complete assigned tasks in line with agreed schedules priorities and procedures.
Manage assigned tasks and keep supervisors informed of progress.
Identify customer needs and communicate them to supervisors.
Support the development of solution prototypes when required by the project.
Suggest technical improvements and solutions to support project delivery.
Understand project objectives as well as customer business needs.
Participate in training related to the organizations methodologies processes and standards.
Present completed assignments experience and competencies as part of project and team activities.

Qualifications :

Must Have Qualifications

Student status in Computer Science or a related field.
Good knowledge of C Python or C#.
Experience working with Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian) on embedded platforms.
Ability to containerize applications using Docker (IoT Edge).
Knowledge of hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi NVIDIA Jetson ESP32 or STM32.
Experience with data serialization using JSON or Protocol Buffers (Protobuf).
Ability to buffer telemetry data in the event of network connectivity loss.
Understanding of IoT device constraints particularly regarding RAM power consumption and wireless bandwidth limitations.
English proficiency sufficient to work with technical documentation and protocol specifications.

Nice to Have Qualifications

Knowledge of time-series databases such as InfluxDB or SQLite.
Understanding of wireless networking technologies such as WiFi GSM/LTE and LoRa.
Knowledge of UART SPI and I2C communication interfaces.
Understanding of UDP and TCP/IP protocols.
Practical knowledge of MQTT MAVLink AMQP and WebSocket protocols.

Salary range: 34 zł/h
