Application Administrator (AppOps)

The main responsibility of this position is to perform the role of Application Administrator (AppOps) within an application migration project that is part of a broader data center migration program.

The applications support payment card acceptance/acquiring and issuer processor business processes. Critical business functions including transaction authorization processes are implemented by application systems developed locally as well as solutions provided by external vendors.

This position requires working on-site from our Warsaw office with occasional remote work

Job responsibilities:
Administration configuration and maintenance of application environments.
Support of payment card issuing system applications.
Support of acquiring transaction system applications.
Monitoring the correct operation of application environments.
Supporting the continuity of application server operations by resolving incidents and problems related to these environments.
Verification and implementation of changes delivered to production systems.
Participation in project activities carried out within local and international organizations.
Cooperation with external technical support teams and technical groups within an international corporation.
Close cooperation with the FTS Application & Middleware Team in carrying out BAU tasks.
Close cooperation with Project Managers in driving subsequent activities related to building testing and migrating applications to new environments.
Preparation and submission of infrastructure build configuration and access requests.
Identification and resolution of blockers during the migration process.
Diagnosis and resolution of technical problems.
Monitoring environments for performance and reliability.
Producing and maintaining high-quality up-to-date documentation using Confluence.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Efficient working knowledge of PL/SQL / T-SQL.
Efficient working knowledge of Perl / PowerShell / Shell / Bash / Python.
Understanding of infrastructure-related aspects network solutions load balancing and TLS.
Understanding of availability performance monitoring and resilience aspects of semi-real-time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems.
Understanding of the challenges related to migrating applications from one data center to another.
Experience working in similar roles or projects particularly application migration projects.
Excellent communication skills.
Good written and spoken Polish and English.
Ability to work with a variety of SMEs from several countries and communicate the technical scope challenges and solutions among them.

Cooperation: ability to share knowledge and experience find compromises and build effective relationships within both the local organization and the wider corporation.
