Trade & Customs Specialist

WHAT YOULL DO 

As Trade & Customs Specialist youll play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant international trade operations. Youll manage documentation support customs clearance and help maintain regulatory compliance across all movements of goods. Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Manage import and export operations ensuring timely and compliant movement of commercial and non-commercial goods including monitoring shipments and coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams. 
• Prepare review and submit customs documentation and declarations including invoices packing lists bills of lading and other documents required for customs clearance.
• Manage import and export permits licenses and approvals ensuring all required regulatory documentation is obtained valid and properly maintained.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations and trade requirements monitor regulatory changes identify potential risks and support the implementation of new requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers freight forwarders transport providers and relevant authorities to resolve customs clearance issues shipment delays and documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain and update local customs and trade SOPs and records and support internal and external customs audits by preparing the required documentation and information.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve trade and customs processes enhance compliance reduce clearance delays and support regional and global Trade & Customs initiatives.

• Regional Trade & Customs Operations Team

• Customs Brokers 

• DC Teams

• IT/System Support Teams  

Qualifications :

WHO YOU ARE 

We are looking for people with 

• Awareness of international trade and customs laws (preferred but not mandatory) 

• Experience in operational customs and logistics 

• Proficiency in trade management systems and documentation tools 

• Strong organisational skills to manage shipment documentation effectively 

• A keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with trade and legal regulations

• Collaborative team players who work well with internal teams customs authorities and transport providers 

• Problem-solvers who can address operational challenges efficiently 

• Proactive and reliable with a structured approach to daily tasks 

• Clear communicators who can support training and process updates across teams
