What will you do

As aSenior Traffic and Transportation Modeler youllhave the opportunity to apply yourexpertiseon some of the most exciting and transformative projects in the region.

Fromhelping delivermajortransportprojectsforTransport for NSW tosupporting the energy transition acrossthe stateshapingground transport solutionsforairports and beyond your work will directly shape how people and goods move for decades to come. These are high-profile future-focused projects that demand innovative thinking technical rigor and a genuine passion for creating sustainable long-term solutions.

The scope of work and role will be as follows:

• Develop microscopic and mesoscopic models using AIMSUN software

• Lead the calibration and validation of traffic models using local (TfNSW) guidelines

• Develop SIDRA models for detailed intersection assessment

• Develop data analytics and python scripting processes

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Aurecons regions

• Build strong lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike

• Turn your innovative transport solutions into reality

What can you bring to the team

Firstly you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications withAustralianpreferably in NSWtransport modelling experience

• Strong analytical skills for data-driven projects including the use ofpythonSQLVBAMacro inMSExcel andGISsoftware

• Experience with traffic modelling tools (e.g. AIMSUN VISSIM)and SIDRA

• A collaborative inclusive mindset with strong interpersonal skills

• A passion for delivering sustainable transport solutions and learning from industry experts

• Good communicationskills (written and verbal)
